Our work centres on health services research in primary health care. We are a multidisciplinary team with undergraduate and postgraduate educational backgrounds in nursing, allied health (physiotherapy and dietetics), medicine (general practice), psychology, health information management, information technology, statistics, epidemiology and public health. Our University of Sydney team members are part of the Sydney School of Public Health, Sydney School of Health Sciences, Susan Wakil School of Nursing and Midwifery and the Broken Hill Department of Rural Health. Our University of Wollongong team members are part of the School of Nursing.

Our team have expertise and experience in the entire research process from the formulation of study questions, to grant applications, development of protocols, study logistics, project management, data collection and classification, statistical and analytical techniques, report writing, publishing, proposals and recommendations.

The OCEAN team is based in the Edward Ford Building at the University of Sydney.
